The room is on the second floor of the Theater Building , Room 1. There are other performances and rehearsals going
on, so please be quiet as you enter and ascend the stairs to Room 1. There will be 5 minutes allotted for Open Mike
poets, musicians, comedians, and monologists. Come early. Sign up with Radomir.
Directions to Theater: 170 Hollywood Freeway, north or south, to Burbank Blvd. exit. Go east about two miles--between Lankershim Blvd and
Cahuenga Ave., south side of street. General location is in the east end of Fernando Valley , roughly three miles north of Universal Studios. From 134
Freeway West go to Hollywood Freeway north to Burbank Bl. Exit, turn right and go straight ahead (east) about one and one-half miles and you are
there. From West Valley use 101 Freeway, hook up with 134 Freeway east, and almost right away, exit for Vineland Ave. Make a right. (This is
Riverside Drive for a moment.) Next stoplight make a left onto Vineland . Go north on Vineland to Burbank Blvd. ; make a right; go half a block to the
Theater. Park in street.
You can also use the subway Red Line to the last stop in North Hollywood . Turn right as you exit the station. You will be on Lankershim Blvd. Walk
north about two blocks and turn right. Two big blocks to the east is the Theater. (While walking or driving to the East you should be able to see the
Verdugo Mountains behind the City of Burbank , about five miles in the distance.)
Lois P. Jones: Her work has been published in state quarterlies, anthologies, ezines, and internationally in Argentina and Japan . In 2006,
she co-edited the poetry anthology A Chaos of Angels (Word Walker Press, 2006) with Alice Pero as well as completed work on a
documentary of Argentina 's wine industry. She is the co-producer of Moonday's monthly poetry reading at Village Books in Pacific
Palisades, California and a guest host of Radio Station 90.7 KPFK's Poet's Cafe. She is Associate Poetry Editor of Kyoto Journal ( Japan
).
Russell Salamon: is the author of Decent into Cleveland, a poetic novel; 1996, Words and Pictures Press. Woodsmoke and Green Tea,
poems, published in 2006 by deepclevelandpress. Ascent form Cleveland : Wild Heart Steel Phoenix, poems, published 2008 by Bottom
Dog Press, Huron, Ohio, poems about the "wild heart" of Cleveland , where in 1964 he discovered himself to be an artist in poetry and has
been writing ever since. Very prolific, he has written 17 other poetry books, published in various magazines, and has been featured often in
many places in California , New York , New Jersey ,
Rhode Island, Clearwater , Florida , and once in London , England . He is one of the editors for California Quarterly, a magazine published
by the California State Poetry Society.
