Twitter Tip #6 How to See Who is Following You
People new to Twitter rarely know how to get around and use the site. I'm still learning after
two years.
One point that happens every day to me, is people ask me to follow back. Nothing wrong
with that EXCEPT when I already am following them.
Then it takes my time to tell them "I already am following".
So this tip is to explain how to know and save me time!
Most of use work our twitter page all day WITHOUT refreshing our screen. So all the data
on it is old. Before asking someone if they will follow back, try refreshing your screen and
see if they are. The point that tells you is that if you see the "envelope" icon, that means
you can message them. You can only message them if they are following you!
Also, you can go to their profile. Click on their name in your time line, then go to their
profile. If someone says they are following the way to check is look at their profile. Same as
in the above paragraph, if you can message them, they are following you.
If they look at yours, they can see if your following them.
I have had people, for whatever reason, say they're following me and they were not. So I
point this out to them.

(I've been using almost twoyears. It is a great labor saver! Tweets for me while I sleep or when I'm away
from home! Unfollows those that don't follow me back and more automatically! "Tweet Adder"!)
* URL Shortening. If you are preparing your tweets in advance, you may want to set up a shortening
service that will take your URL and shrink it down. This allows you to get more text in the message.
I recommend is.dg. Very fast. You simply drag their logo to your book mark bar. When you're on a bage,
click and it will shorten it. Or www.ow.ly. On Owly uou can enter your URL and the Captcha or login with
Twitter. I recommend logging in. Once logged in, you enter URL and hit "Shrink It" or hit enter on you
keyboard and you get a shortened URL! You can also put their logo on your book mark bar.
Live Links! When Tweeting a URL, ensure the full http etc is present. That way the link with be live.
http://.www.carlwattsartist.com would be live on Twitter. carlwattsartist.com would not be live and would
require people to copy and paste to visit page!
Man survives best when man is helping man survive! A person is only as valuable as he helps or assist others!
