    More F.A.Q. below:

These Diploma courses commence officially on Monday, August 31st, 2009 or Monday, January 11th, 2010.

Some great news for you, if you are in class, or you return into class, if you wish, as of July 1st, 2009 classes in July
and August can go towards your credits needed (called UNITS) for either the Diploma of Arts or the Associate
Diploma of Arts.  What this means is simply by being in class during this time you could be getting credit towards a
Diploma of Arts or an Associate Diploma of Arts in Acting from AIDA.
General questions you might be thinking:

"How many hours would I have To do per week?"  The answer is 12 acting hours per week (or 4 classes), plus
Industry Placement (homework, rehearsal for performances and performance of shows and going and doing
Industry placement with Casting Directors, Agents & Managers, Producers etc ) totaling up To approximately 20-25
    hours per week.

You might be thinking "I can't afford that many hours per week To study!," and that's okay because, we can spread
the load and you can do the 1 year course over 2 years, or the 2 year course over 3 or 4 years which would
immediately halve the hours needed To study if you choose this option.

"What does Placement (like internship) mean?" It means you can work in Industry offices with casting directors,
agents & managers and producers in their offices. In addition, you could Also go on film and television productions
    -  both in studios and on locations - meaning film or television shoots. Great networking!

If you choose this option that means 6 hours per week (or 2 classes) and 10-12 hours per week of Placement or homework or rehearsal
and performance for shows.

What does International Visa mean? It means if you are overseas or in America, but you need a visa To stay here, and you want To study
with AIDA - we can sponsor you!!

Below samples of some of the subjects the Diploma of Arts features that are Not currently being offered:

*Image and Career Development  * History of Theatre, Film and Television  * Rehearsal and Performance (drama and comedy.  This Also
includes make-up and costume)  * Stage Combat and Fencing (includes boxing & karate)  * Industry Marketing and Management * And of
course, much more extensive work on your voice and Australian techniques and camera work and scene study and cold reading.

We Look forward To training you!
