| This is a limited production set entitled the "Stakebed Collection." The material used for this is a wood called Apitong. This wood is used for truck decking and railings. The shop owner next to our shop was purchasing new slats and stakes for his stakebed truck (to see a picture of his truck, click here). He was discarding the old damaged and weathered stakes and slats. He asked me if I wanted them and I took them in and dismantled them. You may notice the holes in the wood. This was from the bolts that attached the slats to the stakes. The stakes are used for legs and the slats are used for all other parts. From the recycled Apitong, I made one step stool, the first piece below. This step stool went to my wife as she can't reach the taller cabinets in our home. The next piece below that, a medium size table, was given to one of my daughters for her birthday. The collection is now complete and a third set of pictures below show the final pieces: a footstool, another medium table and the large table. There will never be any more added to the "Stakebed Collection." These final three pieces are available. Contact us. |
